June 5, 2014 Deborah Ryan To whom it may concern: My husband and I employed Jim Gavenda as a handyman over the past 5 years and I am writing to recommend him as one of the most self-motivated, conscientious, detail-oriented, responsible and personable people we’ve ever had the pleasure of employing. We employed Jim to do all sorts of projects on the two homes that we have owned in the Danville area – from painting to plumbing to electrical to construction to finishing work – you name it. With each project he took time to find the right solution, and complete it in a timely manner, with awesome results. He replaced faucets, painted cabinets, installed a beadboard ceiling, built a custom wood valance for above a window, finished a kitchen table and doors, worked with our outdoor irrigation and more. He often worked with little or no supervision, when we were out of the house, out of town or out of state and treated our property as he would his own, with care and respect. He also worked countless hours in the midst of us – 3 kids, a dog, assorted friends, etc., and was the kindest, most personable person to have in our home who we looked forward to seeing every time we had a project. We were sad to have him move away, but I know that anyone who is lucky enough to have him in their employment will come to depend on him and trust him completely. He is just that kind of man.
