FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am proud to announce that I am a member of the American DJ Association. For those of you that have never heard of the ADJA (American DJ Association) before, this is a highly desirable national organization for mobile DJ's which requires an annual membership and requires the professional to hold and abide by legal and ethical business practices. The American DJ Association provides ongoing education and training to all of it's members to ensure that all of it's DJ are up to date with current trends, ways of the trade, business practices, MC and DJ skills and so much more! Most DJ's who belong to this organization, including myself also carry full liability coverage in the event of any unforeseen circumstances that may arise at your venue. More and more venues these days are requiring the DJ to carry full liability coverage, otherwise the DJ will be turned away by venue management the day of your special event.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ensure that your DJ is fully insured. Most venues will not even allow an entertainer to perform without full liability insurance. Make sure that your DJ is open to and HAS the music that YOU want to be played at YOUR event. Sign a contract! You are taking a huge risk with your DJ not showing up or not keeping his/her promises if there is nothing in writing.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Like any other service professional, we wish that our customers knew how much "behind the scenes" work it takes to make their event a success
