I took a creative writing class from Renee several years ago. I have been reading her reviews in the Lakeville Journal Compass section. Her astute observations remind me of the class I took. When I went to an art show based on her review, details and references I would not have noticed before became so vividly important. Her critical eye helps me see and read more into art and literature.

I took Renee's writing workshop last fall. I was having trouble getting anything on the page and I wanted to be writing. I write short stories. She got me excited. Helped me get going again and I enjoyed a very prolific fall and winter. Thanks Renee.

There are many good things to say about Renee Vaughn. The first is that I like working with her. She is personable, intelligent, listens well to what I need, responds appropriately to my requests, and does a great deal of work at reasonable cost. I have asked her for help with the structure of the manuscript, specific wording, errors in layout and punctuation, and even assessing the clarity of the message conveyed in the artwork. In all cases I have found her suggestions valuable. She has been an excellent editor for me.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read constantly- especially 19th Century literature- because there are so many ways to say one thing. The best teachers are the writers who've lasted longest.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm a writer, a coach and a reader who would have gone into editing or teaching literature if I'd figured it out earlier in my life. Instead I lived a varied and interesting life which enables me to relate to a diverse group in unique ways.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Editing first drafts.
