Working with Daniel Kreiss was a true pleasure. We had spent months woking on plans for an addition to our home and had stalled in the process, befuddled by how to resolve conflicts between the site, our vision, and practicalities. Daniel came in and worked with what we had, making a few key suggestions that clarified the design and enabled us to move forward. He then spent many patient months with us fine-tuning the many details, making endless revisions at our request, always approaching the work with curiosity, enthusiasm and a gentle good humor that made working with him truly enjoyable. Ours was his first project of this kind, so there was an inevitable learning curve for him on some aspects of the process; without any arrogance, he was very transparent about when his lack of experience should cause us to collectively consult others. He was open minded, and collaborative with all involved. We have ended up with an addition to our home that we love, and perhaps just as significantly, we thoroughly relished the experience.
