Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I offer guitar lessons for all ages and levels. Learn rock, blues, jazz, classical, country and more. I offer patient and expert instruction at reasonable prices. I have a master's degree in music and over 30 years of experience. I am a certified New York state music teacher. I currently have 30 students whom I teach privately or at Farmingdale Music Center. I can teach traditional guitar with music reading skills, or we can utilize tab and chord diagrams. Songs are chosen for practice based on student preferences from ACDC to Taylor Swift, Bach, Jobim and of course, classic rock like Clapton and Beatles. Learn finger style if you wish, or we will use a guitar pick. Several method books are available such as Alfred's, Mel Bay, Hal Leonard or kid's rock book as well as specialized books for bar chords, finger style, jazz and rock soloing. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, and many are performing regularly. I would love to work with you as your guitar teacher, so give me a call to discuss further.

Hired on Thumbtack

I have been taking lessons with Rob since finding him here on thumbtack December 2012. I couldn't be more pleased. Rob uses his music teaching and performing experience to direct my lessons in a way that keeps it fun and challenging. I love that from week 1 or 2 that we've always been able to relate part of the lesson to a popular song in the genre and by artists that I enjoy. ....Stones, Eagles, Allmans, Van Morrison, Beatles. If you're serious about learning guitar I highly recommend that you talk to Rob!
