What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a balanced designer that know more than just popular design "effects" such as gradients and shadowing. Effective design is about understanding the history of successful designs and executing a design in a clean, professional manner. Be sure to not get "bullied" by designers that want to impose their vision onto your project. It is not a bad idea to hear suggestions from the designer but keep in mind that at the end of the day you should be 100% satisfied with the final product.
