We hired Taerra (a.k.a. The Practical Diva) to help us with about 20 projects that had piled up on our to do list. Things like, fixing a leaky tub, installing a ceiling fan and painting a ceiling. Taerra came to the house and gave us an itemized estimate . She completed everything on budget and was very conscientious about the quality of her work. She was great at puzzling out how to fix a few things that had flummoxed us. She even pitched in to help me adjust a car seat (no charge). I highly recommend The Practical Diva to help you with projects big and small.

The Practical Diva was absolutely wonderful! Our appointment was for 10 am and at 9:57 am she was ringing my bell. She arrived ready to work, briefly discussed what I wanted done at got right to it.Among the things I asked her to do were to hang several pictures, mount a 24 pound jewelry keeper & light on my bedroom wall, put up curtain rod fixtures, & replace & re-cement the ceiling fan wire covering which was falling down in several places.Additionally I mentioned how I'd really like to configure the space so she moved the large armoire and installed a much needed shelf in it too! All this & mote in a tad less than 2 hours! If you need stuff done ... The Practical Dive is definitely the ONE. I am a super satisfied customer!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am upfront about pricing. The number we agree upon on the contract is the amount your will pay. Extenuating circumstances may require change orders if jobs end up getting out of scope of the contract. Pricing will be discussed upfront and there will be no surprises.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, we like to come and see the space if its a big job. We ask for photos for smaller jobs. After the scope of work is determined, we fix up a quote, and the client decides what they’d like to do. Then we do the work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Apprenticeships are the lifeblood of contracting work. Every team consists of a team leader and experienced laborer. They will occasionally be accompanied by a trainee who will primarily keep the site clean, run errands, and do small jobs appropriate to his/her skill level.
