I hired Solid Hand Contracting to tackle a laundry list of carpentry tasks that had been haunting my home improvement to-do list for way too long. Michael came in like a renovation superhero — minus the cape, but with a very detailed task list. The job included: Door jamb repairs (one kid’s room door that had seen better days, and the front door that liked to jam just for fun) Repairing the sliding door in the half bath that refused to slide Exterior Painting of our front door, and interior painting, and sprucing up the vestibule, which had been quietly crying out for help. From the first call, Michael was responsive, clear, and didn’t blink at my oddly specific list. What sealed the deal? He showed me real examples of his work in houses that looked just like mine — not Pinterest-perfect mansions, but real-life, “yep-that’s-my-wall-too” homes. It felt like he got it. Was his price the lowest? Nope. Was it the most accurate and worth every penny? Absolutely. His team showed up on time, worked hard, were friendly without being awkward, and left things cleaner than they found them — which is more than I can say for most guests.
