Private Horseback Riding Lessons
While I we were not able to work together because of distance, I got great recommendations from this Pro for my son. This Pro went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciated it.Aug 19, 2019Verified
We had Coach, our 10 month old beagle trained at Interdyne International K-9 Academy and it was totally worth it!! K-9 Trainer, Bruce Stone boarded and provided obedience training to include house breaking for 20 days and we now have a much better behaved pup. Coach now sits, waits, responds to recalls and goes #1 & #2 on the leash and is less hyper. Bruce is an amazing trainer with many years of expertise and is highly professional. He kept in contact with video updates regularly, calling and texting with advise and answered all questions! We would highly recommend you have Bruce Stone personally train your dog for obedience training, service dog training etc!!Nov 29, 2018Verified
Bruce arrived right on time for our consultation and was very thorough in his evaluation. He spent over 2 hours with my 5 month old puppy Mollie, even going on a walk with us and recording her body language to study later. He made sure to schedule an appointment with me when my family and Mollie's handlers were all present so that he can see the home environment and the needs my family will expect from her. He taught me a few tips and tricks, explaining the methodology and thought process a dog would have when reacting to their environment and my prompts.Oct 8, 2018Verified
Bruce worked with our dog for one session and we found him very supportive, knowledgeable and evidence-based. He spent time with our ten month old and focused on observing his behaviour and gave us great tips to make our relationship with him more productive. I really appreciated that he followed up very sincerely on our situation and his positive attitude.Sep 6, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every dog is an individual and every household is truly unique. The rhythms that they run on and the noise levels that they exist in can be extremely variable. But the one constant that we have always offered ALL of Our Clients is the Strongest Guarantee in the Industry. Bar None and have for more than 30 years now. We truly wouldn't have it any other way.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically after an Initial Evaluation, we'd begin with a Basic Obedience Program which would normally run 3x a week (Mon. Wed. Fri, for example) at your house for 4 weeks and a total of 12 sessions. This would encompass the Stage One phase of Basic Obedience and would be the basis and the foundation for Any and All other Training of whatever type that was to follow. Additional training would primarily depend upon your goals and desires for this dog and be guided by your dog's particular talents and demonstrated abilities. A Stage One Basic Obedience Course would normally include the On-leash Basic Obedience Commands as follows : Come - Sit - Down - Stay - Sit/Stay- Down/Stay - Stand/Stay (stand for examination) - Walk at Heel - a Long Recall and an O.K. Release (allowing your dog the freedom to "Just Go be a Dog" for a bit and to go make his own decisions about the world and to learn from those experiences) This would also come along with Training for both you and your family as to how to operate the dog and How, Where and What to use When. All Commands would be installed on both Hand Signal and Voice Command as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine trained Animal Behaviorist and I specialize in K-9, Feline and Equine Behavior, Training, Care and Management. I was extremely fortunate while at Cornell to have studied under the direct supervision of Dr. Katherine Houpt. Dr. Houpt is widely recognized as one of the foremost K-9 Aggression experts in the world and she has had a great deal of influence on both me and the evolution of my training philosophies. Exposing me to the work and research of Dr. Ian Dunbar and Dr. Ilana Reisner among others. Being K-9, Feline, and Equine-centric, Dr. Houpt's interests run parallel to my own and thus gave us plenty of common ground on which to build. I will always be most grateful for my time at Cornell and the wonderful experiences I've had and continue to have there. I try to get up there just as often as possible (even with my current schedule) as there is ALWAYS Something NEW and Wonderful going On Up there. It's just a wonderful place to learn, to grow and to stay current. There are always new challenges and new doors being opened. If you like Horses, Cats, and Dogs, it is truly a remarkable place.
