Introduction: Mustard Seed Events & Design is comprised of two facets - design and coordination. We collaborate with our beloved clients on events of all shapes and sizes - from weddings to parties, social events to fundraisers, design projects to special orders. Design is a comprehensive, luxury service that provides start-to-finish design of your event and may include various elements such as graphic design of event day printed pieces, invitation design consultation, calligraphy and floral & event design. Coordination is the process of planning and executing the aesthetic vision, logistical details, and timeline of the Event Day. Our services include consultations, vendor management, and day-of coordination, all elements that allow you to relax and enjoy every moment of the day while our team executes your vision flawlessly.

Emily saved my wedding. Seriously. My venue said they had a "day of coordinator" but Emily came through picked up major slack and made my wedding better than what I dreamed. She was attentive to all the little details that mattered to me and made it happen like a boss. I don't even want to think what it would have been like without her. She is the safest hands your wedding or any event could ever be in. A true professional and a true talent for planning amazing events. Oh and the FLOWERS she arranged were PERFECTION. Having a Christmas Dinner with 35 family members is very important with Italians, especially sitting at one table together. Emily did our floral table arrangements as well as creative details in our living and dining area. Her willingness to listen to her client's needs and execute with creativity, quality, and timing made this event beautiful, as well as family members loving the floral arrangements which they got to take home and enjoy during the holiday season.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the usual email exchange, a meeting over coffee to discuss your event gets the ball rolling! I want to know your inspiration - your Pinterest obsessions and your secret loves/hates. We'll take it from there - guiding your design and decisions, and watching your vision come to life!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 10 years of event planning - weddings, corporate & non-profit events, and social events like birthdays and christenings. Over 4 years as a floral designer including working in the Chelsea Flower District for a boutique design firm. And - most importantly - a natural eye for impeccable design and balance!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My nana was a gardener and the President of the Charleston Garden Club. My mom is super creative and has been sewing all my life...I guess you could say it's natural! I was a stage manager working for my college's performing arts venues on campus when my friend asked me to coordinate her wedding and the rest is history.
