Introduction: I'm a composer/guitarist/singer-songwriter who is passionate about teaching. I focus particularly on the creative development of each student, by helping students to write, arrange and understand music that reflects their own imagination and musical interests. Having been raised by professional musicians in both New York and Buenos Aires, I've been exposed to a wide range styles and influences from a young age. My musical range includes Argentinian folklore, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Tango, Rock and Pop. I teach via zoom, a medium through which I teach effectively. I use google docs to document the lessons and can also send video recaps. I offer a free first 30 minute lesson so you can decide if I'm the right teacher for you.

David is a very dedicated teacher who is committed to the interests and desires of his students. He also brings in very interesting and complete exercises to work on the ideas and concepts that the students want to learn about. You can see the enthusiasm and passion that he has for music which is really nice. I highly recommend David’s lessons for both beginners and people who already play and want to deepen their knowledge of the guitar.

David Telson's engagement with music and love for medium, is palpable when you are taking a class with him. He is constantly trying to devise new ways to reach his students. He also sees his students as individuals, with individual musical aspirations, talents, tastes, and motivations. When possible he curtails his lessons to reflect these idiosyncrasies. David Telson has a supportive and nurturing "bedside manner" when trying to teach you new combinations, chords or riffs. I definitely recommend him to all people interested in learning more about music.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first class is free with no commitment needed on the students end. After that my fee is $40 for 30min, $50 for 45min, $60 an hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson we can talk about what you're interested in learning, what your experience with music is and any other worthwhile information and then get to playing some music!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15 years of private lessons and I studied at Berklee College of Music.
