- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing reflects my time, travel, expertise, and value. Listed price could go up or down depending on how far I need to travel to you or if you come to my apartment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Musically: I like to find out your interests and assess your current knowledge of the instrument before diving into any one thing. Some students know a lot and can jump into advanced concepts straight away. Some are looking for a fun new hobby and just want to learn songs to stay interested without learning to read music or any theory. It's all cool by me! Logistically: Thumbtack largely leaves it up to us to proceed. So once we agree on price/location, etc, we just set up the first lesson and go from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.M. in jazz performance from William Paterson University. I regularly play in professional settings with bands or ensembles in a variety of genres. Mostly around NYC and NJ but I also have extensive touring experience all over the country. Ask me when my next local gig is!
