Introduction: As an experienced yoga instructor with a background in the new age world, I have gained extensive knowledge through working closely with my mother, a Reiki master with a deep understanding of healing. I am passionate about helping others, especially beginners, children, and those dealing with trauma. To continuously improve my practice, I am always seeking new workshops and training opportunities. My specialties include trauma-based yin, restorative, nidra, and vinyasa yoga, as well as meditation and kids yoga. As a yoga instructor, Janet is thoughtful, sensitive, and encouraging. As someone who has there YTT certification and a completely different approach, (and has learned from Janet!) I absolutely admire how she melds her education with her client’s needs. (Don’t be afraid to ask her for what you need either!) Janet’s capacity for a Trauma informed approach makes her the perfect teacher for yoginis of all ages and levels of Practice. She will hold he space for your physical injuries or set-backs, as well as emotional wounds you may find yourself facing during your Practice... and she’ll guide you through just the right amount of challenge for YOU! Love this lady, and you will too!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My starting rate for a private session is $100 per hour, and I charge a little extra for additional participants. For a group class (5 or more), my fee is $200 per hour. I'm pleased to offer a discount for those interested in a package deal. Additionally, for those in need, I am happy to provide a sliding scale rate. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal is to understand your needs and tailor each session to incorporate yoga and meditation practices that cater specifically to your desires.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My educational background focuses heavily on the psychological aspect of yoga, as I believe that the connection between the mind and body through breath is incredibly therapeutic. In terms of yoga practices, I am well-versed in various forms, including meditation, yin, nidra, trauma-based yoga, kids yoga, vinyasa, and restorative yoga. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology, and I am certified in mental health first aid for adults and youth. Furthermore, I am CPR and first aid certified for all ages.
