I’m Setlur, a documentary-style photographer in the Buffalo Niagara area specializing in wedding photography, family photography, and couples photography. I focus on capturing authentic, timeless images that preserve real moments, emotions, and meaningful connections.
Originally from India and now based in Buffalo, I bring a diverse artistic perspective shaped by both engineering and a self-taught creative practice. This unique blend allows me to combine technical precision with visual storytelling to deliver consistently high-quality results. I’ve refined my skills through local camera clubs, professional critiques, and award-winning work at county fairs, along with extensive experience documenting fundraising events for local non-profits.
I love working in natural light and scenic outdoor locations around Buffalo, and I’m also happy to photograph sessions in your home, backyard, or a location that’s meaningful to you. My goal is to create a relaxed, personalized experience while capturing images you’ll treasure for years.

We travelled to NY from California for our Silver Wedding Anniversary and i needed someone to capture some important details of the event. Setlur responded and accommodated the date and time. He was very punctual, very professional and guided us what to do. During the contract signing i said i don’t want our photos to be shared by the company but i would like to give credit of his work so im sharing it. Setlur was fantastic!!! He we such a pleasure to work with and captured some beautiful photos of our daughter’s first birthday party. He did such a wonderful job capturing candids of our family and friends along with the specific photos. We had our photos within a couple days. I had the pleasure of working with Seth for many years throughout my time at the National MS Society. He did a fantastic job of photographing our events and participants as they walked, ran and cycled their way to a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. He was especially good at capturing feelings of excitement and accomplishment that so many felt as they crossed the finish line. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do offer discounted price if you do not have the ability to pay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know what the customer has in mind in terms or expectations . Then I go about figuring out how I can meet them. On the day of the photography session, I like to arrive 5 - 10 minutes early to get a feel for the place and the crowd. I complete the session and then transfer them my processed photos within a week from the even date. I do try to accommodate for any special request a client may have depending upon its feasibility .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
During my doctoral degree studies i learnt the technical aspects of cameras, image sensors as well as image processing techniques. The artistic side is self taught. However I trained and refined my photography skills, including composition, exposure determination as well as processing of images by participating in local camera clubs and getting my work critiqued by expert judges. I have won a few awards at the local county fairs.
