John replaced a deck and remodeled a bathroom. Outstanding service, in all respects, from start to finish. He responded within 15 minutes of my Thumbtack request for a pro, arranged an on-site appointment and completed the visit professionally. He started the work within the week and completed on time, within budget and with perfect results. His attention to detail is above and beyond any of the many other contractors I've hired. His 35 years experience and positive can-do attitude, overcoming normal project suprises, is quite evident and shows in the finished product. Careful, workmanlike, efficient and professional all convey the very high value and quality of John's work. His pricing is very fair and sensitive to the existing market as well as client resources. I obtain at least 3 estimates for any professional I engage. My priorities are quality of work and finished product, time to project completion and fair cost. I hired John to install the floors in a home i just purchased, he was responsive and was very straight forward with cost and what work needed to be done. I am so happy that I found John's Home Improvement Service! He does professional high quality carpentry, and is very conscientious about being on time and returning texts/phone calls/emails. I contacted John (on a Thursday) to replace a set of dilapidated porch stairs. He got back to me almost immediately, and came by the same day to view the job and work up an estimate. John called on Friday-- the very next day-- to discuss the cost of the job. John started work on my new stairs on Monday at 8:00 A.M. and was finished at 2:00 P.M. The job site was perfectly tidy afterward and the my new stairs are perfect. I recommend John's Home Improvement Service without reservation. iam very transparent on pricing and labor,I'll show the customer the materials list and the labor all up front so that everyone is clear and on board.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
my first thing is always use drop clothes and seal everything up before I start the job and at the end of every day I clean up like I was never there that day.and i always have my contract with me the first day of work,in some cases before.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started in boces 10 through 12th grade and been in the remodeling business ever since.
