After dealing with several “tile guys” who provided ridiculous quotes for a pretty simple bathroom project, I decided to search for help on Thumbtack. Fortunately for me, Steve responded to my request for a quote and submitted a very reasonable estimate for the work within 24 hours. Steve did an awesome job with our tiled kitchen backsplash. The area over the stove was a difficult pattern, but Steve had no issue dealing with the complexity of the design. He always showed up when he said he was going to and cleaned up after each visit. He is very thorough and wants each project to be just perfect. I would highly recommend Steve and his company for any future tile work!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing really is based on what the job entails (glass,porcelain,stone,ceramic,other)
size of tile to be installed 12"x 24" or 24 x 48" or something larger or smaller.
Is the tile installed stacked, on a 45, herringbone pattern?
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will set up a time to meet and go over the job. I will email them a price based on what we discussed with a breakdown of everything.
Then we would schedule a date and time to start.
When the job is completed to their satisfaction I would submit the bill.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out as a helper in the union then became an apprentice and worked my way up to a mechanic. I've worked on state job's federal jobs, residential job's. I've done floors, walls 60ft high, ceilings. I've pretty much done it all at one time or another but at the same time every job is different.
