Introduction: Versatile and experienced teacher - all levels, all types of music. I love performing and I love sharing my experience and love of music with others. I have been teaching guitar for more than eight years - from beginners picking up the instrument for the first time to students with several years of playing under their belt. I graduated Berklee College of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production and during College, as well as in my High School years, and after University, I have been teaching. I teach individuals online and in person as well as teaching groups. My experience includes teaching at a High School level (which I am doing currently) as well as at Rock Camps. As well as acoustic and electric guitar, I also teach bass and production. I was an All State Jazz guitarist two years in a row . I have worked with up and coming performers and singer songwriters as well as playing back-up with artists, including a couple of stints on CBS and NBC television. I have been part of the orchestra in theatres as well as asked to play with the United States Marine Band. Lessons will be tailored to your interests and needs and we will develop a curriculum that is constantly evolving as you hone your skills to become a well rounded guitar player. So whether it is Progressive Metal, Rock, jazz or popular songs, I can help you attain that level. Let's Get Started! * I offer a 30 minute free assessment lesson and we can take it from there.

Guitar Lessons

This is my first try at the Guitar 🎸 and Michael had me playing a tune in the first 30 minutes in. Very easy going and patient. I highly recommend Michael.

Great lesson. Learned so much in such a short period of time and he’s very patient. Michael definitely made guitar a lot less intimidating.

Michael taught guitar to kids at my music studio in Boston. He not only had a great rapport with kids and parents, but he taught creative and engaging lessons both privately and in groups. I highly recommend Michael!

I truly enjoy working with Michael! He is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. As someone who is a beginner bassist, I needed an instructor who was patient and kind and Michael ticks these boxes. I’ve grown so much since starting my lessons and look forward to the future. Lastly, I appreciate how he combines technique with songs and genre that I’m interested in learning. He’s the best!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We will start with a free 30 minute assessment to understand your goals and your level. Then I usually recommend a package of four to six lessons but this is something we can discuss during the assessment. I ask for a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel, please, and we can reschedule. Also, lessons need to be paid for in advance.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

During our free assessment, we will discuss goals and aspirations, interest in specific music genres, and then level of expertise / experience so far. We'll also discuss the instrument and a song list so that you can learn the music you want to play.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated Berklee School of Music on a Scholarship. I also attended the Stanford Jazz Residency in California and taught at a Rock Camp for students of all ages. I have taught after-school programs for elementary school students; high school students in small groups and one-on-one as well as teaching at a music center in Boston.
