FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is straightforward. The difficulty too often is answering "how much does it cost?" questions. I do not work, or believe in throwing a template at my clients and have them fill-in the blanks -- there is enough of this out there. I get paid for "time" --the time that is required to learn about my client, their goals and the business they want to develop or improve. We work together! I do a lot of the creative work and drive the process. My pricing is based on the 'scope' of the work -- knowing from experience, how long it would take to generate results. We always work on a weekly 1 hours session and I budget and equal amount of time for me to do the actual work -- so typical engagements are about 8 hours per month. Some projects can be accomplished in one month, and some may require 2-3 or more months. There are no long term commitments and my approach is quite flexible. Let's start working together and if it works well, we keep going. My fee is $100/hour and after my complimentary session to determine the scope of work, we decide on the appropriate monthly commitment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spend hours each week reading and reviewing case studies and the latest techniques when it comes to marketing and sales. There is no shortage of great ideas out there and a lot to learn...the only limit is time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have done my line of work for others for over thirty years. I held different sales and marketing positions with small and family-owned businesses for over thirty years. I also dreamed about taking what I know and created and helping others succeed. I had to wait until I sent three kids to college and could afford to risk everything and start my business. I left a successful six-figure corporate position in January 1st, 2012 to fulfill my dream. I took $150,000 out of my pension plan and started a business. It was scary but I have accomplished my goal of helping others become successful. Now, 3 years later, while I work harder than I ever had, my only regret is that I couldn't have afforded to start earlier.
