Introduction: Hi! I’m Alexa. Thank you for being here. I’m fueled by creativity & passion. I capture emotion & focus on expressing connection through every image. I learned to capture innocence and the essence of children, couples, families and individuals. My sessions are done as at-home (I travel to you) or outdoors. Alexa was the best! Our engagement pictures came out amazing! 100% recommend. I spoke to a lot of photographers and Alexa was the most in-tune with our situation and committed to capturing the proposal. I was appreciative of her smart suggestions. Highly recommend!! I hired Alexa to take some headshots and a few full body shots for my professional website. She responded to my message on Thumbtack immediately and we were able to schedule her to come take my photos the following day. She was punctual, friendly, encouraging, very complimentary and fun! She made me feel like a model. By the following night, she sent me the best photos from our session. They all looked beautiful! She's a pro and awesome at what she does. I will be booking her again in the next few months for our family's holiday photos.

Having my elopement photos done by Alexa was so special. The day did not go as planned with the timing of the actual court ceremony but she improvised and we had time to go to a waterfront and take lovely pictures. Going into my wedding day I did not feel like a bride because COVID ruined my original plans but Alexa made me feel so special and took her time planning out carefully curated shots that made for excellent memories that will last a lifetime. I’m so grateful I chose Alexa to document this once in a lifetime moment.

my pricing is reflective on my website. additional fees could include extra time during our session OR a small travel fee if more than 15 miles from zip code 11735
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First off I try to get to know my clients - depending on how detailed you want your session to be; I love getting pinterest boards for inspiration so I can get a feel for your style & vibe. Otherwise you can always send me inspiration through Instagram or text me any screenshots of inspiration you like. I always send an email of confirmation once you’ve booked with me so you have an idea of the process from before the session to what you can expect after the session. I am always willing to work with you for brief outfit consultations for free & I can also connect you with a makeup artist and hair stylist (these are at your cost)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i’ve taken photography classes in school and have done multiple online trainings with Ana Brandt’s Belly Baby Summit - certification available on my Instagram @portraitsbyalexa
