My wife and I have worked with Barry Klein over the years on various design projects. Most recently he created built-in bedroom furniture that exceeded our expectations and also constructed a shelving unit to a very specific size for our living room. I would like to praise the phenomenal esthetic design and workmanship of Barry Klein/PPK Designs. He always comes up with incredible, timeless and just gorgeous designs for our family and business needs. He built our children's rooms, den, media room and business offices. His workmanship has stood up over years and stays looking and functioning like it's new! He always goes out of his way to come up with brilliant ideas/designs and then suggest finishes that are the best! He is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work and has an artistic eye that cannot be matched! We are huge fans!

I have to say that my expectations were exceeded by this terrific artisan. Our job involved a decor panel in solid cherry for the washing machine and a completely refurbished bathroom cabinet, also in solid cherry. Barry takes his work very seriously and aims for the sky in his work. I was thrilled with his attention to detail. He's also very personable and that makes for some great shared time. He is, as they say, the whole package: professional, punctilious, personable. I recommend him highly. .

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the budget first. Then I evaluate the project to see if the budget is appropriate for what the client wants. Moving forward pricing varies with the size of the project, what materials the client wants to use, the cost of the materials, and the labor to accomplish the correct results desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I receive all the latest information from my product salesmen, my design literature, and suppliers of what is the latest and greatest. I attend trade shows that present the newest products, designs and hardware.. I also read many articles on the web from design, and woodworking. i discuss projects and design with my peers.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in a family of woodworkers, and designers. I started making furniture very young with my dad. After getting my design degree from Pratt Institute I decided it would be a great blend to use my design skills, my passion, talent for woodworking, and my relationships with design professionals to start my business
