Do your homework regarding the style you are trying to convey in your home by creating a file of images from the internet or magazines. Absolutely discuss your financial budget for any such project with your designer. This is the most important step in working with a designer. Each party's expectations & limitations need to be clearly defined before anyone invests their time in a new venture. Make sure you set priorities for your project. Decide which rooms need the most attention. Ultimately the partnership & project between designer & client should be fun, relaxing & trustworthy. Some people click & some people don't. Everyone should be comfortable. :)
