Introduction: For many years, I worked at several different instruction facilities that were predominantly sales-based music stores. It became evident that profit from sales and lessons took precedence over the educational aspects of the lessons. I aimed to develop a facility that focused directly on having well-qualified instructors that focus solely on the educational facets of music lessons, rather than sales. The music is the product! I love it when students start to realize that they have the ability to achieve anything they want musically. Positive reinforcement is crucial.

I took guitar lessons with bill for close to five years. Bill took difficult concepts music theory and made them easier to understand. During my lessons with Bill I began to realize that music for me is more of a passion than a hobby. I owe much of my success to him. He helped me become the guitarist I am today, and the better guitarist i will be in the future.

My daughter takes voice lessons at the Music Orchard. She really enjoys it, Bill takes time with her, he listens to what she wants to learn and incorporates it into her lessons to keep it fun and interesting. He has a student band which is really exciting to her. I highly recommend Bill he is a great teacher.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

You can't get too comfy and always have to push yourself! Right now, I am working on a J.S. Bach Cello Suite for the electric bass, a John Williams masterpiece, and the Star Spangled Banner as performed by Stu Hamm. These are very difficult pieces of music and I am learning them simply for the challenge. They will bring me to another level.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I accommodate every lesson to each individual student so they can learn the essentials at their own pace. My mission is to provide the most structured, yet, practical and educational instruction in a fun based environment. Maintaining an encouraging atmosphere makes learning a pleasure rather than a burden for the student.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Sometimes, customers tend to think the majority musicians teach and perform for extra money, when, in turn, it may be their only source of income.
