Studied Spanish with Will for about 6-7 months breaking recently (2/26/13) for work & family commitments. I learned more than expected in that time and honestly enjoyed all aspects of the process. Will clearly has an extensive professional foreign language education background covering multiple languages. His techniques I found to be effective, starting with fundamentals sprinkled with a bit of humor. We used a very approachable workbook-style text that I would recommend to any 1st year student. We did weekly reading, exercises and ultimately conversation role plays which were an excellent capstone for the semester. Throughout Will was more than accommodating of my numerous work and family commitments. I am taking a break now but I'll be back as soon as the wife lets me out again. Mr. deSeve is an educator of the highest order. The kind of teacher I would wish my family and friends to have. Caring, passionate about teaching, and an unparalled ability to determine your plan for study by gently testing you to ascertain your strengths and weaknesses.
This is a teacher, student partnership and I can feel the genuine feelings this tutor has for his students to excel. I feel more than encouraged about my learning experience.
If we had more educators in our school system, such as Mr. deSeve, we would have no doubt that the next generation will excel and carry their passions forward.
