I own a small deli in Rego park that was vandalized and had the security gate damaged along with my windows being shattered and all of my inventory stolen. Peter gave me a very reasonable price and after coming to fix it and seeing the damage to my store he rejected the payment and And did the job for free! And a wonderful job at that! In the 23 years my doors have been open I’ve yet to see a heart this big in the business world! Thank you so much Peter and God bless your soul!!

My experience with precision mobile welding solutions was nothing short of amazing. I needed someone last minute to weld four mailboxes to a railing. Peter responded within an hour, took his time to understand the job, quoted me fairly, showed up on time, was polite, professional, and thorough. He was personable and very detail oriented. He even took the time to explain the process and I actually learned something. If anyone is looking for a job that requires fabrication or any kind of welding, precision is the company and Peter is the man for the job. I highly recommend him.

We needed a welder to come to our industrial laundry after working hours. Hard to find someone to do the job until we found Peter. We were able to coordinate a time and he came as schedule. Very professional and we would definitely do business again. I Would recommend Precision Welding services without hesitation. NEW WORLD LINEN.

Hired on Thumbtack

This is an unacceptable level of service and we are extremely disappointed with the outcome of our experience with Peter. On December 12th, we hired Peter to fix our gate, and he quoted us a price of $650. However, upon arriving at the job site, he informed us that the situation had changed and the price would now be $1,200. Given the urgency of the situation, we agreed to the increased price and even offered to pay him $1,250 upon completion of the work. Despite our willingness to pay a higher price, the work that was completed was not satisfactory. The gate was still difficult to open and it could not be fully raised, remaining stuck in the middle. When we contacted Peter about the issue, he claimed that this was the best he could do and offered to check it out later without charging us any additional fees. He also promised to send us an invoice, but we never received it and he has not responded to our calls or messages for the past week. We trusted Peter and his 5 star reviews on Thumbtack, but it is clear that he did not live up to our expectations. We are extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and integrity displayed by Peter and we hope that he will take responsibility for his actions and reach out to us to resolve this issue. We have attached the payment and communication as evidence of our experience.

Precision Mobile Welding Solutions's reply
This is a very inaccurate depiction of the situation and how it unfolded and I would like to take the time to bring some clarity to the situation. In September of 2022 Victor reached out to us to “add an extension” to his rolling gate. I had reached back out to Victor and explained to him that we are a welding company not a rolling gate service and repair company. I had advised Victor to contact a rolling gate mechanic but he insisted on moving forward with me. At this point I explained to Victor that rolling gates use an “s hook” to attach slats to ensure flexibility when the gate is being rolled up. If we were to weld these slats together they would stay in a fixed position and have no flex or movement. Victor then explained that he did not roll the gate all the way up when opening and therefore the extension would never have to flex so it was ok. After speaking with Victor I decided I would do the job for him and set a price of $650 After that day Victor had not responded for more than 2 months. Finally a week or so before Christmas he called me on a Friday night at around 6 pm and said “I need you to come do the job right now and if you can’t make it tonight I’ll just go find someone else” This was the first indication that I should have passed up this job but Christmas was coming and so was a new born baby girl so I decided to move forward. Although we couldn’t make it that night we did the job for Victor 2 days later. Upon arrival Victor was not at the store to meet us like he had promised. Instead he was in New Jersey. He had 1 employee there who had said first thing “thank god you guys are here I have my wife on the way with a pillow and blanket I thought I was going to have to sleep here tonight” Confused we had asked why which is when he brought us to the gate and showed us what was going on. The rolling gate that we were supposed to “add an extension” on was completely destroyed. The spring and coil that lifts the gate had exploded and the gate had rolled all the way back into the housing unit with multiple broken parts everywhere and mechanical pieces all over the ground. I had asked victors employee if Victor was aware of the status of his gate and he told me he told Victor but Victor had not been there in days and never showed up. He also explained to me that Victor was “very cheap” and had hired 3 people prior who were not professionals to come work on the gate. I gave Victor a call and asked him to come to his store but he said he couldn’t. I then explained to Victor that his gate was destroyed and that “adding an extension” was not possible in this condition. He pleaded and begged me to try and repair the gate and I explained that it needed to be replaced and there was no fixing it. He then asked me if I can just try and get the gate to temporarily close and open a few more times so that his store was not left vulnerable and open in NYC. I then spoke very candid and honest with Victor and explained I knew he had hired people previously to patch the gate up and told him “Victor I understand you are trying to save money by not replacing the gate but sooner or later you are going to get to a point where you’re spending more money in patchwork repairs then it would cost to replace the gate” Nonetheless he insisted that I try so I explained to him that this is a “Frankenstein fix” and any work we were able to do would only be to temporarily get the gate to open and close a few more times before having to replace it. Victor agreed and that is where the price increase went from 650 to 1200. After hours of going at it we got the gate down out of the housing and put it back on the track. Still missing major springs and mechanical parts that had broken. We added the extension… which can be seen in the pictures Victor posted and got the gate to a place where it could temporarily open and close. Victor was so happy with the work that he gave us an extra 50 dollars on top of asking price. The following day Victor had reached out when he arrived and said “the job looks good but it is hard to open and close the gate. I would like to hire you to add a chain fall hoist to make lifting gate easier” At this point I had explained to Victor that the reason the gate is hard to lift is because the springs and mechanical parts up in the housing unit were destroyed. I told Victor that this was not our agreement. Victor had promised that he was going to do a proper replacement and now he was asking me to once again enable him to avoid the expense of replacing his gate by adding a hoist. I told Victor that I did not feel comfortable doing that. I explained that he is putting me in a bad spot because his gate can fall at any point and hurt a customer or worse and because I worked on his gate my company could be liable for damages. I told Victor that it is vital that he replace his gate as soon as possible and I would not be doing any more work on the existing gate to keep it “alive” because it is reckless irresponsible and dangerous. Victor did not like this response and retaliated by reporting me to thumbtack. My account services were temporarily suspended pending an investigation and hearing by thumbtack. After a month of going back and fourth reviewing his information and mine thumbtack had ruled in my favor based on the evidence and paper trail. This made Victor angry so he decided to write a terrible review as a last ditch effort to bash our company. This is a case of capitalism and greed at its finest. Victor has been trying to get away with making as much money as possible while trying to spend as little as possible even at the risk and expense of putting civilians and customers In danger. These are very bad business practices and I am very disappointed in Victor and this entire situation. I am a good man. Running an honest business. Trying To make an honest living to provide for me and my family. I hope this situation does not reflect negatively on our services and I thank you all for taking the time to read this message!
