Introduction: I have studied Japanese for 8 years and am well versed in the language. Admittedly I am not an expert, but through the years I have been fortunate enough to discover a multitude of textbooks, study aids, websites and reference materials. I have also worked with a number of students, including students with disabilities. I am nothing if not approachable and personable. I love what I do. Japanese fascinates me. And my students: when one of my first students had his first "ah-ha!" moment, I knew I wanted to do nothing else.

I worked with David during college while I was doing elementary Japanese. Very adaptable, was willing to work outside of normal tutoring times to help me out. I passed with flying colors easily.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tutoring: $35 per hour. Weekly recurring packages starting at 3 hours for $75. Rates negotiable. Translation: Depends on the material, including word count, formatting and number of pages and deadline.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work closely with students going at their pace. I actively encourage them to go out on a limb and expand their abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am attending graduate school at UMass Amherst in their Japanese Literature and Culture and I am studying for the JLPT N2.
