FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly reading, researching, Googling and taking professional online courses in order to stay aware of new trends, learn new tricks, become proficient at new tools and adapt to the maturing field of Web Design. Learning is probably one of my favorite things to do, and lucky for me there is always something new to learn in this field!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in high school my dad had a version of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign that he let me use. I transferred schools when I was a senior and the new school had a really good graphics program with presses and everything. The teacher had himself just taken a course to learn the Adobe software and was so impressed that I already knew it that he put me in the highest level graphics course. After learning how to use the presses and spending a lot of the year doing pre-press design I decided to go to college for graphic design. My last year of college I realized web was where things were heading and wanted to have some understanding of them. I was able to get an internship at an awesome company called Dyrect Media. From there I continued to grow my web design skills and graphic design skills by freelancing, eventually growing into a full-time position where I've been doing this for almost 5 years, and starting my own company Lossless Creative Studio.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
It really varies. I have had clients who were just 1 person needing small edits or posts added, small non-profits looking to redesign the look and feel of their site, and multi-million dollar corporations who have needed a complete restructuring and overhaul of their existing website to promote a flagship product. Small to mid-sized businesses and non-profit websites are probably what I do most.
