Tony and his crew were very professional, on time, well spoken, polite and very clean. They cleaned every spec of dust up that they made. We were very impressed at how knowledgeable he and his people were and how they could accomplish hiding the wires for us, behind the fireplace stone! It sure made it worth what it cost. He even took the time with his head tech, to explain how all the equipment that he didn't even sell to us works. We had no idea all the bells and whistles that were built into our TV and home theater. Once again, thanks guys, and thank you for coming out on the Sunday before Memorial day to do this job, so it was mounted and out of the box for our guests. We "will" be calling you back when we expand the house. THANKS

Over priced, unreliable and inconvenient. Fits in residential work in between larger jobs usually very late in the day.

This was a major misunderstanding. I did state that we would be available "after 5pm". When I called at 5:12 to say we were on the way, Judi cancelled the job and told us we ruined her day because she was waiting "all day" for us. Sorry you were unhappy with our attempt to install your sound bar after we did manage to get the rest of your system squared away on the previous visit. This was also a gratis job, which is why we were juggling it between other projects in her area, near Clifton NJ. Although only 30 miles from our office in Long Island, everyone knows traffic in our neck of the woods! I guess the other 15 or so reviews were wrong? Once again, Sorry~ :)

I wouldn't hire this guy to drive me anywhere, but I sure will hire him again to work at my house. It was a few weeks ago, the snow was coming down like golf balls. We were sure that Tony wasn't going to do the job this weekend, so we left him a text to reschedule when there was a knock at the door. There was Tony and his helper in snow gear with tools in hand and tool boxes. They started at 10 am and spent the whole day working on this job. My wife the great cook that she is, made pasta and sauce for them for dinner, we sat, had wine and talked about nothing to do with his business. VERY personable and polite, but CRAZY for driving from Long Island to Easton CT, in the blizzard to do this job. He told us he didn’t want the weather to make us wait to use our new TV and surround system. He was more expensive then the rest of the quotes, but now I know why. He removed bricks from the fireplace to pipe wires to the TV, then cemented them back. I have no idea how he got wires to all the speakers, but his helper worked magic. He didn’t want to charge us for the extra work, but it was worth it. I’ve got to say, it was worth more! He already signed jobs with my friends. Thanks Tony and Dave. Don’t forget, next Sunday is Lasagna night.

Mr G, Thanks so much for the great dinner and wine. I'm glad my brother lives near you so I didn't have to drive home to NY after dinner. I'm happy your wife liked our job. We will hope you call us for your upgrade this summer. Thanks, Tony & Joe

Two words. Awesome-Job. Hiring Mr. Forte was money well spent, definitely worth the price (which wasn't bad). He goes above and beyond to meet the customers needs, does quality work and he cleaned up after himself. He is very personable and honest about his work. It was a pleasure having him in my home.

Geoffrey, It's wonderful that you wrote us this review, but, all we did was tell you the most economic way to accomplish what you needed done, without any charge. We don't expect people to pay for our advice or help, even if we don't do the work. It's good to see that in people. Thanks again. Michael & Tony

Excellent company to use if need a TV mounted. Had to cancel and reschedule a few times based on my move and cable installation. Tony accommodated me each time and went out of his way to complete the job. TV looks great and wires are hidden, looks like a true professional installations. Would recommend this service to all family and friends.

I'm so happy with this installation. My wife was worried that it would not be neat and clean, but Tony did as promised and in less time then expected and very reasonably priced. The sound is wonderful and the TV looks fantastic over the fireplace. He put all the wires in the wall, and the equipment in a closet in the next room. Tony and his helper were very polite and clean. They were like one of the family when finished. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

Michael, Thanks for the great review. And thanks for calling us back for all the extra work. I hope the kids enjoy all their games and gear hidden in the closets. Your son really did like the idea of his Playstation/DVD player mounted in his bed stand, so he didn't have to get up and change disks. Enjoy, Tony

Tony put up our tv on a brick fireplace. He hid the wires well - reinstalling molding so wires did not show and actually painted the cord holder brick red so you can barely see it. Worked through the wii and xbox setup. We are very happy with the work. Thanks
    Tony Forte, And A. May 24, 2014

Lisa, I wished we could have run the wires down behind the brick, but in your case, the brick may have cracked since it was the actual fireplace form, and the mortar was very old and unstable. BUT, it did turn out nice when we painted the 6" of plastic channel with the same color paint as the brick. From the front, you would never know. Thanks again. Tony

Outstanding work! I recently hired Tony to mount my TV and hide all wires. He took his time and treated it as if it were his own home. I recently remodeled my entire living room and he was by far the best contractor I had in my home. The TV is looks great, all wires are hidden and wrapped up securely. He went above and beyond the scope of work and worked with me the entire way. I would recommend him to EVERYONE. Thanks!

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take on line seminars and training at our local supplier, as well as a tremendous amount of reading of various technical books.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since middle school I've been drawn towards this type of electronics and mechanical systems.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Home Theater, custom mounted flat panel TVs, video security systems, remote control integration, smart home & automated living solutions.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
CoCo Key Water Resort and Hotel, Orlando, Florida & Danvers, Mass. Costco Wholesale Warehouse, various locations.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for the names and numbers of their previous clients, creditors, suppliers and do a background check. Not a good idea to hire a 2 time felon to install your video and alarm security system if you think about it.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How complicated it is sometimes to accomplish such simple things as turn a light on from your cell phone, or close the garage door just after you leave the driveway without pushing any button, or turn your TV on to your favorite channel or light the fire place after you enter your alarm code when you come home. One client asked if we could get his neighbors dog to stop tinkling on his lawn as well as have his fridge throw him a Bud Lite at his recliner via his TV universal remote. We got it to eject, but could never get the aim right. That project is still in my garage, but I'm determined to get it right! We did however automate the dog and lawn problem!
