Introduction: My name is Vanessa Deras and I am a quirky yet spunky makeup artist from NY. I have been doing makeup since I was three years old (yes, I was that kid with smeared red lipstick and blue eyeshadow all over her face). However, I have been doing this professionally since 2011. Makeup is such a passion for me, I can talk about it all day, everyday. Making my brides feel and look beautiful is what drives me to continue with my artistry. My goal is always to make you feel like yourself, just a more glamorous version. I love to get to know my clients, what their wants and needs are. Ultimately your vision, is my vision. I understand all the hard work that goes into planning a wedding, that's why I do my best to strive for quality in my services. Client satisfaction is my number one goal. The best part about my job is the many people I get to meet. Finding out what inspires them and what's the their vision for such a special day. Of course we can't forget the makeup, ALL THE MAKEUP!

Vanessa was terrific! The girls makeup for the Prom looked fantastic. No cakie or buildup. Well blended. Vanessa came to our home which was really convenient. I apologize for having to run them out without giving Vanessa a wholeheartedly Thank YOU!

No two weddings are the same. Therefore, the prices reflect on how many people will be getting their makeup done, as well as location, and other factors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my clients, find out what inspires them and what is the overall vision. Sometimes we share pictures or even videos, to find the perfect look.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved makeup ever since I was a little girl playing with my mothers favorite lipstick. However, I never thought that I would pursue makeup artistry as a career. Unfortunately the day of my wedding, I did not have a good experience with my makeup artist. That was the push I needed to start. I vowed that I would always listen to my brides and give them exactly what they are looking for. I want them to feel happy that they chose me as their makeup artist 20 years down the line.
