Nick's guy Ron was great! They worked with our budget and really got the crowd going. I would definitely hire him again. He had any song we wanted! Thanks guys.
So glad we used a harpist through Sweet Harmony! It was so easy getting in touch with Tara anytime I had a question, she was really on top of everything. We had 2 songs that we really wanted to be played, and they were able to add them into the repertoire of song choices. It was such a beautiful addition to our wedding ceremony, and I would definitely recommend Sweet Harmony to anyone looking to hire a musician.
I've really been enjoying my lessons with Mike. I've only ever played the drums a few times in school about 10 years ago and now with only 4 lessons under my belt I'm already up to lesson 8 in the book. I always look forward to class as he teaches you the fundamentals but also lets you feel your own beat and rock out to your favorite music. He's fun, professional and very good at what he does! Thanks Mike!!!
Ivan was fantastic. Responsive, professional, and amazing talent to perform the songs you want. He even let us borrow a mic for the ceremony!
Al Louis Entertainment did an outstanding job at our wedding! Friends and family were having a blast on the dance floor all night long. I've known Alan personally for many years and he is an amazing performer and music professional!
I actually got in touch with Jimi through Thumbtack, and was pleased with the lessons I got right from the start. We're working on music theory and composition, and I managed to learn something I regarded as monstrously difficult for years in the span of a month or two. Jimi makes music accessible and "not scary", adapting his lessons to each student's needs. Highly recommended.
Amazing teacher with a vast knowledge of jazz music. Highly recommended
working with sean was a great experience. as a beginner adult student, he was always very patient with me and understanding of my busy schedule. i found his lessons to be challenging and informative while at the same time being really fun. he never made learning piano feel like a chore. i learned a lot, not just how to play the piano, but also about music theory--the guy reall knows his stuff! i'd highly recommend sean to anyone at any level and was sad to find out he was leaving the bay area.
We had a low turn out due to the weather, but the music made it all better! We absolutely made the best decision choosing this band! They are professional, full of personality and extremely talented! The first of many events to come!
Taking lessons with Jonathan has been a blast. While I'm not a "new" person I'm a pretty new player and the variety of music I've learned has kept it interesting and challenging. We've worked on classical pieces, Beatles, bluegrass and jazz and blues. He's taught me a lot of theory as well as practical technique. And how to practice. The past few years have changed the way I listen to music.
Oli taught me for about three years from when I was 12 years old to 15. My lessons with him played a pivotal role in my development as a musician. I found him to be extremely motivating and by having him as a mentor I was able to improve my skills immensely. I will always look fondly upon my lessons with Oli and regard him highly as an educator and a musician. This year I will be starting the Jazz course at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and it is clear to me that my deep passion for jazz music that continues to this day was initially inspired by Oli, and for that I am very grateful.
I have taken piano lessons from Robert for a few weeks now and my ability to read sheet music while I play, as well as understand music theory (big areas of weakness for me) have already improved significantly. He is a great instructor who understands what you need in order to become a better player, and he creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere that makes me look forward to my lesson each week. I would highly recommend Robert as a piano instructor!
Adam is an incredibly patient and motivational teacher who easily adapts to whatever style of learning and music work best for you. I'm very interested in music theory, and have found Adam not only knowledgeable about any of the questions I have, but also able to relay the concepts in memorable, easy-to-learn ways. His lessons are well-paced, and I always leave excited to go home and start practicing. Would highly recommend Adam as an instructor!
Can’t beleive how much I’ve improved from working with Jacob! He was so on top of my requests and answering back with written out music for me to practice. Now I take my uke everywhere I go!
Terrence is an wonderful pianist and educator, a true well-rounded artist! I have performed with him in different community settings such as church, weddings, nursing homes, music schools, and especially appreciate how joyfully and generously he uses music to connect with people, make them participate, share, feel at ease. Seeing Terrence teach children and adults leaves one with a sense of music education being of utmost lifelong value to anyone desiring to play music. All styles, classical, jazz, gospel, writing and recording music are in professional, caring, reliable, excellent hands with Terrence Butler!!!
Rebecca is the best vocal teacher out there! She is warm, patient, supportive and really makes you feel comfortable. I would look forward to lessons with Rebecca every week and really learned so much from her. She taught me so much about finding my own voice and really made me confident about my own abilities. Not only did she teach me music, but Rebecca's classes also taught me a great deal about myself and what I wanted to do with my life. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat !!!
WHAT A TERRIFIC TEACHER. Sometimes, educators who have been teaching for a while forget what it's like to be the "learner" and can in turn be condescending, impatient, and unwilling to simplify difficult concepts for their students. JOE, on the other hand, was PROFESSIONAL, PATIENT, and PLEASANT. When explaining certain musical concepts to me, he explained it in my language. He encouraged me to ask as many questions as i could come up with; no question was off limits. He tailored the music lesson to my skill set, and even provided study material for me to work with in between our one-on-one lessons. I am excited again about playing piano and learning how to read music!!!!
I had the honor of having Tye Austin perform at an ecology and sustainability benefit I was hosting back in the summer of 2015. The theme for the event was Return to Simplicity. Everything at the event was minimalist in design and completed using ecological and sustainable practices, including the use of minimal electricity, and where needed it was provided only with renewable energy. It was important for us to have acoustic music that could compliment the naturalistic setting, but still maintain a high level of elegance and sophistication. Tye went out of us his way to help us arrange the music area to accomplish just this while still projecting loud enough for an audience of over 60 people. His natural professionalism, attention to detail and passion for every aspect of the experience was wonderfully enjoyed. His performance was the most raw and visceral part of the entire evening. Everyone in attendance was captivated and mesmerized by the power and beauty of living music. Even the crickets and birds were in sync. I would highly recommend Tye to anyone who is considering having music at their event. I know everyone in attendance that night would most certainly as well. Thank you so much Tye for such a memorable evening. It was a privilege creating with you. Chase Waters San Francisco, California
Lou is a conscientious and dedicated musician and guitar teacher who tries his best tom teach the skills necessary to improve a students understanding of the instrument and guitar technique. He provides charts that focus on learning basic skills and accommodates the students personal interest in learning how they can present their favorite music in a more professional manner. He is also a very kind and supportive human being!
Helene was my piano teacher from kindergarten through high school. She taught me how to read, understand, play and love music. Furthermore, my early -and in-depth- start with piano prepared me for years of trumpet in various advanced bands. Although I am not currently taking lessons, I still sit down to play piano whenever I get the chance. I'll play anything from Bach to Beethoven to Josh Groban to new and classic Disney - really anything I'm in the mood for. Helene's teaching has made me proficient enough in piano and music in general such that I can truly enjoy playing. Thanks Helene!!
Arthur is an excellent, very well-rounded, guitar instructor. He is very knowledgeable in quite a few aspects of guitar playing - from music theory, playing different styles, transcribing, to all the guitar gear and technology stuff. He has a nice studio, and is also very accuracy oriented, which I really like. I'm into learning to play the blues, rock and metal, and Arthur has been really helpful with that. Highly recommended!
