I studied with Rose for a year and I HIGHLY recommend her! Although I had taken some years of lessons in high school before I started with Rose, I was always frustrated that I couldn't reach the level I wanted to reach. Rose put in a lot effort to find out what I wanted, and recommended me tons of tunes and artists to find music that inspired me. She's also great with technique. My range, tone and sound have developed a lot during the year!

I came to Rose a few years ago for voice and piano lessons. I wanted to learn how to read notes and ultimately I wanted to acquire some basic piano skills to accompany myself. We also worked a lot on my vocal technique and repertoire. She is so inspiring, enthusiastic and skilled. Very happy I took the step to take lessons with her!

It's not easy to find the right piano teacher.. Some pianists with too much skill don't teach beginners; some that teach beginners don't have enough skill. Some piano teachers are too over-bearing and some are too lax.. Rose manages to put it all together in the right combination.. She's obviously extremely qualified and talented, but also knows how to teach, and teach effectively.. She is passionate about the music, learning to play, and the possibilities of what you can accomplish.. I plan to continue lessons as long as I can..

I hold a BA in music and voice pedagogy from the Prince Claus Music University in the Netherlands and an MA in music performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a performer singing and playing my own music and in different groups and bands. I love music and through teaching I hope to make students appreciate and enjoy music as much as I do.
