FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have to continue to take classes, workshops, attend conferences, etc every 2 years in order to keep up my certifications and stay current with the ever-changing research and advancements in exercise science.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a dancer and choreographer as well as a runner throughout college and after college as a profession, so I had always been a fitness advocate. In 2004, I began taking BodyFlow at the local gym. I was asked by the gym owner to train to teach. I underwent the Les Mills training, passed and that is where my story began! I wanted to go beyond and help people accomplish their goals on a more personal level. Thus began my personal training business and more extensive training.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my clients love to work on Pilates apparatus and they like that I put them in a final restorative relaxation pose for a few minutes after their Yoga or Pilates workout session.
