Being that this is the first time I have actually worked with a trainer I can tell you that Joe from Amity Dog Care was extremely knowledgeable and very professional in the way he did his training. You could tell that he knew exactly what he wanted from my dog and worked until he succeeded in becoming somebody the dog would be able to trust. You could tell just the way he was handling the dog that he knew exactly what he was talking about. He also made sure the dog never felt threatened by him and always use positive reinforcement. I have no problem recommending Amity Dog Care to anybody as they will not be disappointed.

Details: 1 - 2 years old • Small (16 - 25 lbs) • Private lessons • Aggressive behavior modification • My home, venue, etc.

I would have picked all 5 but it only let me do 3. I found Joe to be exceptional. We called several trainers and he was the only one that got back to us. That turned out to be a good thing otherwise we might have missed the opportunity to work with him. My 7 month old male Vizsladore was getting out of control when he saw people and he would go to bite them. I couldn't walk him for fear he would go after someone and hurt them or hurt me as I had shoulder surgery in October and am about to have the other shoulder done. When Joe came of course Ziggy went nuts, I had him on a leash so he couldn't get to him. Very slowly and gently Joe gave Ziggy the back of his hand to sniff and had treats for him. Within 10 minutes Ziggy was literally eating out of Joe's hand. We took a walk around the block and when Ziggy showed a behavior Joe corrected it and showed us what to do. He also spent extra time with us going over some other concerning behaviors and taught us how to correct them. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone who needed a trainer.
