- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am involved with over 40 different organizations of growers, floral, design, and environmental to keep abreast of the industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have an environmental science background but with artist parents. I found I had a gift and decided to go with floristry instead of forestry. And I cannot cook. :)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would watch for who sees your vision-and gives you what you have pictured in your mind-not what they try to encourage you with. (unless of course you are asking for tulips in August!) If you are trying to be a little kind to the environmental impact and green your wedding then do the best you can and hire someone who is green minded, or at the very least can recommend seasonal or local grown flowers
