I have been taking weekly, one hour lessons from Mike for several years now. I started my musical journey to learn guitar very late in life and it started with another instructor. I spent a year with the first instructor and was very frustrated with my lack of progress and his technique...I spent more time listening to him play than anything else. Studying with Mike has advanced my ability to play significantly...I can say that I can 'play' which I never felt comfortable saying before. I'm 51 years of age and recently started a new business so my attention often gets diverted away from my guitar studies but Mike gently reels me back in when needed and gives me specific lessons and goals each week. I would recommend Mike for any age student...I am living proof he can teach an old dog new tricks!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We have private music lessons for guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, violin, viola. We have summer rock band classes. We are open year round . We offer free recitals 2 times a year.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always check the credentials of a teacher, whether they have degrees and from where. Ask if they have references. I would also make sure they are personable and not a big money making factory. Feel free to ask about a trial lesson to see if you bond with the teacher.
