Sinclaire Wade - Drums
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Sinclaire has experienced a full array of musical situations. From gospel and jazz, to rock and classical; Sinclaire can perform, and most importantly teach, all of these styles at a very high level. Currently a student at the University of North Texas, Sinclaire is continuing to develop and study her craft to the fullest.
Dustin Kaufman - Drums
Dustin has been the drummer for the band St. Lucia since 2014. He has also toured with other notable artists including: Moon Boots and Gavin Turek. Some performance highlights include Coachella, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Good Morning America. Dustin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Jazz Performance from The New School, a Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and Master of Arts Degree from Columbia University.
Jackson Hillmer - Drums
Jackson Frye Hillmer is a drummer, songwriter, and educator who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he developed a deep love of music. He began his journey learning the trumpet and eagerly picked up the tuba and drum set soon after to perform with the Redwood High School jazz and symphonic band. He had the opportunity and good fortune to study with John Mattern, Alan Hall (Cirque Du Soleil), Jeff Masanari (SF Symphony) and Chris Amberger (Janis Joplin, Rahsaan Roland Kirk). As a member in his early jazz groups, he opened for vocalist Kenny Washington, and played frequent local festivals & weekly gigs. Jackson started teaching drum lessons to beginner students when he was in high school and has continued to teach throughout his music career. Jackson graduated high school with the Louis Armstrong Excellence in Jazz award and was offered a jazz drumming scholarship from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music where he studied with drummer Mike Marlier (Maynard Ferguson) and pianist Eric Gunnison (Carmen McRae). While studying abroad, Hillmer explored & performed at the University of Ghana, Accra with world renowned xylophonist Aaron Bebe Sukura, percussionist Johnson Kemeh, and Dance Troupe Leader Agosu Allotey. Upon graduation, he received the Sterling Nelson Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Jazz Studies & Commercial Music. While living in Denver, he performed at notable Colorado venues and festivals such as Mishawaka Amphitheatre, Dazzle Jazz, Bluebird Theatre, Fox Theatre, and Vertex Festival; and developed a strong and lasting relationship with the members of his current touring band, Mama Magnolia.
Karina Camile Parker - Vocals
Karina (soprano) is a Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary performing artist, educator, and director. Karina is a co-founder and co-director of the new, grassroots opera company, Killer Queen Opera, and is a founding member of the New York-based vocal ensemble Musica Vera.
Karina received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Music Education Certification for instrumental and vocal instruction from Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. She now performs, directs, and teaches in New York City's five boroughs.
Currently, Karina is a Resident Teaching Artist and Education Assistant at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. She also runs her own private teaching studio providing vocal and piano lessons for students of all ages and experience levels.
Tim Basom - Guitar
Since 2017, Tim has been one half of the guitar section on Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, and in addition has been fortunate to collaborate with some amazingly talented artists. Some notable appearances include: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, FX’s Fosse/Verdon, Trixie Mattel, Mandy Gonzalez, Frances Ruffelle, Phillipa Soo, and a host of others. Tim received a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from The University of Akron, as well as a Master of Music in Instrumental Jazz Performance from The Manhattan School of Music.
Jeff Koch - Bass
Bassist Jeff Koch was born and raised in New York City. He began playing electric and upright bass when he was 13. Since then, Jeff has performed at prestigious venues and world renowned festivals in NYC and around the world including The Blue Note, The Kennedy Center, The Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Ronnie Scotts (London), and The North Sea Jazz Festival. One of his projects took first prize at the International B-Jazz Competition held in Belgium in 2015. Jeff has also been an active teaching artist, working with programs such as: Lincoln Center’s Jazz for Young People, the Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra, and establishing the True School of Music in Mumbai. He has received a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Master’s degree in Music & Music Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
