Drum Lessons

Dustin is super patient and kind. Our first lesson was great - he really worked to understand where my child was at in terms of understanding, rhythm, and what interested him to use to help him learn. Looking forward to working with him.

My young son has been taking lessons with Dustin for almost a year, and he really enjoys it. It's been a great way for him to experience music in a new way, and Dustin does a great job of teaching him age-appropriate drills and rhythms while still having fun. I also love that lessons are held at a convenient studio with private rooms near Times Square. My son loves being able to play on a real drum kit, an experience he didn't get through other music classes we've tried. Dustin is always professional, punctual, flexible and an all-around great guy. I would highly recommend.

My son wasn’t really a musician, but he took up percussion at school as a way to get out of fine arts and wind instruments. Turns out he loved it so much he asked for private lessons. When his recommended teacher moved away, we didn’t know what to do. We picked Dustin out of a hat and started lessons. OH MY GOD, WERE WE LUCKY! Dustin has been amazing. Dustin helped my son audition for jazz band and is now working with him on High School auditions. When Dustin went on tour, he came up with a terrific plan (Skype) to make sure the lessons continued smoothly. He helped my son choose his music for the auditions and he’s run some mock auditions with him. (My son was selected for Jazz band and has completed one of three of his HS auditions, where he felt confident and prepared.) Dustin is very responsive, flexible, professional, punctual, and organized. My son really likes him and his school music teacher has commented on how much he has improved. I would recommend Dustin without reservation to anyone looking for drum lessons.

Drum Lessons

Dustin has been giving classes to my 8 year old son who has just starting his journey with drums and playing and reading music in general. He’s always on time and super enthusiastic to see us. He’s always well prepared and focused on teaching and getting things done but also incorporates some games to make it fun. He knows how to approach a kid, he covers a lot during each class. My son cant wait for another class, we love it.
