FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is, generally speaking, pretty flat- we chart flat rates for the number of photographers, and the number of days required to do the work. There are *never* charges for any of the silly stuff some studios charge for and should do as a matter of course: we don't charge by the hour, we don't charge for retouching, we don't charge for delivery- a client shouldn't have to pay to have a photographer spend his day checking his watch, or to make them look good, or to give them their pictures. That's why they hired a photographer in the first place.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of the members of our team are members of the National Press Photographer's Association (NPPA,) Wedding & Portrait Photographers' International (WPPI,) or both. There's a great deal of publications put out by both that keep us up to date. One of our shooters is actually a camera and equipment reviewer for the largest photo supply store in the world, so we learn a lot about new gadgets and gizmos, as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Everyone on our team started as a photojournalist, almost all at newspapers. Five of our six team members are graduates of the prestigious Eddie Adams program (founded by the Pulitzer Prize winner of the same name,) though at very different times.
