I have an apartment in mid-town Manhattan, which had been almost completely trashed by my former tenants. Among other things: (i) the hardwood floors had major water damage and had to be repaired; (ii) the kitchen counter, cabinets, sink and appliances were left in an appalling condition and had to be replaced; (iii) the bathtub had to be reglazed, and the shower head, medicine cabinet and WC fittings replaced; (iv) the closets had to be repaired; and (v) all the walls, ceilings, doors and windows had to be sanded, repaired and repainted.Having experienced some awful situations with NYC contractors in the past, I was extremely anxious about getting the job done -- especially given the fact that I do not live in New York and could not, therefore, personally supervise the work.KOLA was recommended to me by my real estate agent. Right from our first meeting, Fadjol was extremely polite and responsive to my needs. The work was done to a high professional standard and in a very timely manner. His advice regarding how to achieve high quality without breaking my bank was particularly valuable and I am very satisfied with the end result.What I also really appreciated was the fact that Fadjol was always willing to go the extra mile (sometimes at no additional charge) and help with unexpected problems that arose during the course of the work. The apartment was handed over exactly as scheduled.I have absolutely no reservation in recommending KOLA for their professionalism, transparent pricing and excellent client relationships. I only wish I had found them when I first bought my apartment in 2007.

Couldnt be happier with the work Fadjol and his team did on our bathroom and kitchen renovation. They were professional, friendly, and always on time. Communication was excellent they were incredibly responsive whenever I had questions or needed to make a decision. Kola was incredibly responsive and helpful as we were navigating a variety of insurance and building liability issues after a backflow incident. There was legal, and insurance issues of who was paying for what which many contractors would have run away from.Kola provided super fast response and were patient and had to provide multiple variations of the quote with a variety of scope for the insurance co. and board of the building.After months of cooperating without getting paid a dime, they were finally award the job and moved swiftly to install and finish a fine hand laid parquet floor with the highest level of flooring quality. They complete all of the trim and painting expertly. I am grateful for Fadjul's personal involvement, patience, and understanding. He went beyond the level of service that we find today, and I hope I will be able to hire them again for a non-castostophic project!Solid company. Owners are hands on and keep their word. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will provide to new customers the proposal, once approved we have to go over the alteration agreement the building will provide. After that we need to agree with the consumer and sign the Contract Agreement, once the Contract Agreement is signed and both parties have good understanding it will start the process of the paperwork which includes:
- General Contractor's COI + License
- All subcontractor's COI + Licensees
- Full scope of work on Contractor's letter head
- Timeline provided to the building
- Alteration Agreement signed by both parties.
Once the building will approve the project than Contractor will add the project into the calendar and start on the start date.
To the consumer it will be assigned a dedicated Project Manager to follow up on communications during the process.
