About
I offer a range of styles including rock, jazz, classical, bossa nova, and blues. Furthermore, I am an experienced songwriter and solo artist with plenty of compositional acumen. I can provide technical, improvisational, and compositional skills, and turn my students into extremely versatile players. I love being able to share my skill set with enthusiastic and hardworking students, and seeing their efforts pay off. I have gone on to play in groups with some of my students, and have helped them pursue their own music careers.

I signed up for a one-hour lesson with Ethan and it was absolutely wonderful. He is attentive, and came to my home for my lessons. I was a beginner, and I've really been improving. His style is totally holistic, and he will teach you music theory, and any style of guitar you want. The greatest part is that you don't even need to necessarily have a guitar, because he can bring one for you to borrow, or even have lessons for you in East Williamsburg. He's really friendly, really receptive and I totally recommend him.

Ethan is knowledgable, patient, encouraging and an overall top teacher who is well-versed in a variety of genres. I arranged to have Ethan work with my boyfriend as a surprise gift to my boyfriend and it has been great! Thank you, Ethan!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am flexible with pricing, and am willing to do half an hour or one hour lessons.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently a music major at NYU, studying both the history of music as well as composition.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

As a child, the bond I had with my guitar instructor was very strong. He was a mentor and a father figure to me, and instilled in me the importance of music. I want to have that same influence over another young musician, and inspire the same kind of passion for the instrument.
