Introduction: I want everyone to have the tools to succeed in their creativity. I am a patient, passionate, and dynamic teacher. I feel a deep sense of purpose by being able to show students the things I’ve learned, especially the things I wish I knew early on. Guitar is a world full of mixed methods that often hinder students. This contributes to the passion I feel. I want students to fall in love with music, guitar, and to really understand the instrument in a deep and intuitive way. As a professional performer and instructor I deeply enjoy teaching music to all ages and all levels of proficiency. I have been teaching and performing professionally for over a decade. I have studied guitar since age 10, starting with private instruction, formal education starting in middle school, and attending the national guitar workshop during summers. After attending a performing arts high school in Stockholm Sweden I also attended Berklee College of Music studying guitar performance. Since then, I’ve continued my studies via private instruction; I’ve been privileged to study with many great players including Lage Lund, Adam Rogers, Richie Hart, Tom Lippincott, Gustav Lundren, and many others. Killian is an exceptional guitar teacher for both beginners and advanced guitarists. With beginners like myself he meets you where you’re at without judgement, and even goes as far to go back to a time in his life when he was at a similar place in his guitar journey. This has been crucial for me as someone who beats up on myself a lot about getting things perfect. It makes our lessons feel very encouraging. As well as encouraging, Killian is thorough. He won’t let you skip over the basics which I am especially thankful for as it makes me slow down to better solidify what I haven’t quite gotten down yet. As for advanced guitarists, his own level of skill can take you as far as you want to go in guitar. Whether it’s a hobby or a potential profession, Killian will teach you not just how to play music but how to hear it.

Killian comes with my highest recommendation - he has helped me understand things about guitar that have eluded me for years. Things that I believe I may have never learned, like how to get great tone from the electric guitar (he's a great studio musician). He helped me understand, in 1 lesson, tricks on how to transpose chords on the acoustic that make more sense than barre chords, etc. etc. Changed the way I play! I'm a fairly adept player, playing a festival with 15k people next month, and I couldn't recommend Killian more!

Killian is great! I took lessons with him for a couple of years, and he really helped me to stretch out and grow as a musician. With other guitar teachers, I often felt like I was learning songs and scales, but never really putting it all together. Killian listened to what I wanted to learn and tailored my lessons to that, but he also gave me the structure, foundation and direction that I definitely needed. He's patient, encouraging, talented, and chill. Highly recommended.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer bulk discounts as listed, I can explain them a bit more if those don’t make sense! Just reach out. I do offer sliding scale for students in need, which would be worked out on a case by case basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Asking lots of questions and getting them excited about attaining their goals, whatever they might be! Also getting a sense of where they are at with the guitar and music, which I then tailor my lesson plan after.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing private instruction since I was 10 from some of the worlds best guitarists. Attending Natural Guitar Workshops, and formal training starting in middle school. And finally attending a performing arts high school in Stockholm Sweden before attending Berklee College of Music in Boston for guitar performance.
