Sakura is very knowledgeable and is able to explain the Japanese language by breaking it down like a mathematical formula. One of the things I liked about her lesson is that she teaches cultural subtleties in conversation that are often left out of practical textbooks. For example, she will tell you to say a common phrase in a certain way so that it's "softer" and doesn't come across as aggressive. Sakura has a lot to offer as a tutor and I would highly recommend working with her to meet your language goals.Aug 2, 2020Verified
Sakura Sensei hosts a wonderful class. My wife noticed I had been struggling to learn Japanese on my own, so she found this class for me to try out. In just a few classes I had learned so much in sentence structure, something I was never able to figure out by myself. Sakura teaches you Japanese how its used in the real world, not just what a textbook shows. Each lesson she adds more Japanese to the weekly lesson, it gives you a real world feel knowing that shes expecting a Japanese response to start and end the classes. I look forward to learning each week, and she keeps me motivated to study as much as possible in between the classes.May 20, 2020Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? You can take my class online by Skype if you are in the other states, because I am currently in NYC. I could travel to meet up to you if you were in NYC. However, to be honest, my program on line is totally the same as the one on one in person because I teach with electrical files. No worries! Please take a look at the answer to the next question, "What is your typical processes with can new customer? The rate is lower but the quality is much higher than the other tutors. The earning money is my secondary demand. The primary demand is to see the improvement how my students would get better and better their skills under my own program and they would achieve their goal at the end. I would be happy to see it! That is my satisfaction to work hard for them.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The approach of teaching Japanese language is different from the others. I provide the materials which general textbooks don't cover, and are useful and practical to communicate with local Japanese people. Please contact with me! I will explain more the details. I have the over 600 electrical materials on Microsoft Words, Excels sheets, PDFs which I created on my own way and links and scans. I can share them with my students depending on their skill and requests. I can provide the additional materials which you could be easier to understand grammars compared to just studying with a textbook. You need a computer to take my class when you take it on line. You just need a pen and a notebook.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have enjoyed teaching people since I had experienced as an English Instructor for 5 years in Tokyo. At that time I taught around 100 students from elementary students to middle students who challenge to pass an exams for admission to high schools. Additionally, I have worked as a Tutor for a Business course at my community college for 2 years. At a College, I helped the students as a Japanese Private Tutor.
