Francesca took the challenging job of walking my hyper pit bull mix pup Sammy, and did it with such calm and affection and competence that she soon became Sammy’s favorite person. She was punctual, reliable, and responsive to my many special requests. Francesca loves animals and has a great connection to them, and that quality leads to a lot of trust, both from the dog and the person. She is great at her job!Apr 3, 2019
Francesca is very trustworthy, has all kinds of experience with cats and dogs, healthy, sick and special needs, loves animals, and is especially good with shy ones. She is punctual, responsible and always professional. I have had the pleasure of working with her now at least 10 years and can't recommend her enough.Apr 2, 2019
My dog went blind many years ago so travel plans were always difficult. I knew I needed to leave him at home with someone who would do a hood job (and who my dog would like!). Francesca was just the best. My grumpy blind dog definitely loved her and had no visible signs of anxiety when we would leave (he was a possessive dog). I would highly recommend her for waking, housesitting, or anything in between.Apr 3, 2019
I returned home to two happy cats. Exactly what I needed.Oct 1, 2019Verified
Francesca knows a lot about pet care and put me at ease about her watching our cat. She also completely changed our litter box without asking which we greatly appreciated. She kept in touch and sent us photos while gone too.Sep 8, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My prices are as stated and are for up to three cats or two dogs. Any more than that is extra and negotiable. I don't change extra for medication unless the animal is very difficult. I do charge extra for fluids and syringe feeding which is $10 each and is not negotiable
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually I go over for a meet and greet where I meet you and your animal/s. We go over what needs to be done and where everything is. We go over emergency contacts and what schedule I'll be keeping. Then if you and your animal are going to hire me you either give me a key then or we make plans to do that before you go away. I almost always have follow up questions after if I'm going to be working for you which I'll handle via text or email and if you have follow up questions for me, please do the same.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Other than being certified in pet first aid through the Red Cross all my training has been on the job. Through rescue I've had to learn how to do fluids, shots, syringe feeding, pilling, nail trimming and of course basic brushing and grooming.
