FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The normal rate for an in-home training of a certified Pilates trainer is usually $100-$125 an hour. I charge $70 that includes a pre-consultation phone conversation before the session. We will discuss your areas of interest and you can share any history of injury or problems. I will bring mats and other props suitable for a in-home training session. If a client wants to travel to a Pilates studio, I charge $80 for the hour as I have to rent a machine.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a certified Pilates trainer in mat and all apparati for 15 years. I am also very familiar with weight training & kettlebells. I'm certified in TRX, Gyrotonic, trampoline, pre & post natal. I also have done several workshops in special populations i.e. Seniors and those people recovering from injury.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I came to Pilates later than most, as I suffered a lot of injuries and wanted to recover. AND build up strength/flexibility as I grew older. I also have massive arthritis in my family so wanted a fitness routine that would keep both my muscles and bones strong.
