Joanne was the very first Pilates instructor that I've ever gone to. I honestly was just trying out Pilates because I heard a lot of things, but I didn't think that it would be something that would actually give me a good workout because I was used to heavy lifting, heavy lifting, track athlete. But Joanne had me shaking day one. She’s also so good at customizing the programming to exactly what I want. Oftentimes I go in saying I want to feel booty burns, and she's able to target all the areas of my glutes. I've now been doing Pilates for six months, and my entire body has changed, which has improved the way that I walk up the stairs in the New York City subways. York Street if you know you know. Pilates with Joanne has completely changed how I'm able to do all of my other workouts because of the mind to body connection that I've developed. One thing that I love the most about Joanne is that she's very very focused on correct form and posture to ensure that you're getting the most out of the workouts and not injuring yourself. So I feel like she is constantly checking in to make sure that I'm engaging my core properly, which gives me a better workout at the end of the day. I love Joanne. Book with Joanne!

1. Work quality - I leave every class a bit better than the week prior. The consistency over time has strengthened my body and improved mobility. The work quality has led to me performing my best in long distance running events.
2. Responsiveness - Easily accessible if I have general questions about how my body is feeling. She’s over-communicates any schedule conflicts and can adjust to things that come up.
3. Professionalism - There is a layer of professionalism and attention to detail that is communicated in easy to understand terms. I’ve found I respond better to certain analogies than more academic instructions.
