Introduction

I focus on capturing emotion through my photography. I've studied with some of the best photographers in the industry to not only learn about different styles of lighting and shooting, but also to deliver the highest quality product available. Each portrait session comes with both high-resolution, professionally retouched images suitable for print as well as web-optimized duplicates for use online. I enjoy connecting with each and every client. I focus on getting to know you, uniquely, so that I can tell your story in your photographs. My favorite part of each session is seeing the look of confidence on the faces of my clients when I show them our images in camera! I focus on making each person comfortable in front of the camera, from new models to corporate executives wanting to update their professional headshots.

It began as a simple search for someone to provide me with some head shots. I spent hours looking at websites, reading reviews and searching for the perfect photographer. I found John Marcus and could tell by viewing his portfolio my search was over. John Marcus kept me well informed of the entire process. He arranged the venue, the makeup artist, suggested wardrobe changes and color options. John Marcus checked with me 3 times prior to the session and 2 times after receiving my final photos. I was kept informed of when to expect my proofs and final copies. I am pleased to say that everything was completed almost a week sooner than expected. All fees were explained very clearly so there were no surprises when everything was done. The photo session was very special all due to John Marcus attention to detail. John Marcus is a wonderful artist who is able to capture the essence of a person as well as the beautiful shell in which we all live.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each session begins with a consultation where I can learn about the requirements and expectations for a session. What location is desired? How will the photographs be used? How should the photographs feel? With these details in mind I'm able to offer suggestions and options to best accomplish our goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I frequently attend workshops hosted by renowned photographers in my field. The equipment and techniques I utilize have been vetted by some of the best in the industry.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Throughout my career I've had the opportunity to work with families, entrepreneurs, aspiring models and even Miss Turks and Caicos Universe, 1st Runner Up. I enjoy really getting to know my clients and capturing a truly personal photograph.
