Our daughter Lucia achieved an above average score on her PSAT as a Sophomore in high school. She was determined to do better on her SATs than the PSAT indicated. After researching and meeting several potential SAT/ College admissions tutors, we chose to work with Nick Mosca. We immediately liked his energetic, positive vibe and his methodical, insightful approach to tackling difficult subject matter. Through Lucia’s junior year and into the pandemic lockdown Summer, Nick met Lucia at first in person and then virtually via Zoom meetings. He coaxed her into talking about her favorite and least favorite subjects, her strengths and weaknesses, clubs, weekend activities etc. He pinpointed areas of improvement and introduced test taking strategies. Lucia took copious notes and would review them before taking practice tests. The final result? A score greater than 200 points above her PSAT. We are ecstatic at the results they achieved together. We feel Lucia’s confidence has strengthened and college prospects have widened. Now Nick with his invaluable insider knowledge is helping Lucia edit her Common Ap essay as well as the many supplemental essays reguired by many colleges. We highly recommend Nick and can’t say enough good things about the service he offers. Thank goodness there are capable people like Nick that help young people through this process. He is well worth the investment!

College Admissions Counseling
He’s a really good counselor and prep instructor. I would highly recommend him to anyone, he has helped my son though the application process tremendously. He is very organized and created a plan with my son to find out which colleges to apply too and how to tackle the supplementals easily.

College Admissions Counseling
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Nick! He was very helpful regarding the college admissions process and collaborated with me on how to further expand my academic resume. I worked with him for almost six months. He tailored each individual session towards my intended colleges, specifically the schools I intend to attend (which are the majority of the (UCs). He is very professional and does his best to make sure you are on the right path while applying. This was especially useful since not many of my family members attended college. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Nick. I highly recommend!

Nick Mosca was an exceptional find. He provided insightful and detailed advice on all aspects of the college application process and standardized test prep. Nick took time to get to know our son and created a truly personalized approach to his instruction. Our son developed trust and respect for Nick in large part because of Nick’s genuine interest in his success. The test and application process can be extremely stressful, but Nick has been a trusted guide to help us navigate through it. We would highly recommend Nick without hesitation.

College Admissions Counseling
In March everything changed. For our son, a junior who just completed his best semester on record, March presented us with much concern about his college future. Our son’s academic development was peaking. His creativity and desire to bring personal projects to life, was bubbling at the surface. As a parent, my concern lied in the potential for lowered expectations with distanced learning, SAT test cancellations, and discontinuation of extracurricular activities. All of which became a reality. I had a lightbulb moment to research college coaches with my son. He was onboard and so was I. We both agreed that with me in Healthcare (not sure where COVId was taking us) and him becoming increasingly independent moving towards his 18 yr, an outside resource to assist us with college planning and coaching would be invaluable. I used Thumbtack to interview 5-6 individuals. We chose Nick. There were many reasons why we chose Nick. Clear explanation of services, his background, and an individualized plan to keep my son moving forward. There was no hard sell, just a clear path for Kyle. He kept him on track with deadlines, and shared files, keeping the momentum. He encouraged him to continue creating and was able to take his finished products, and package them in a way to highlight his academic resume. Nick found Kyle meaningful virtual activities, continued learning opportunities. They completed the lengthy Common App together, ensuring that every detail was complete. Kyle is applying to colleges now, and I cannot even express how grateful we are that we made the choice to have Nick guide us through the process. Our son has never complained about this commitment, which speaks volumes of Nicks process. We also used Nicks SAT study, which was a bit harder for Kyle, but was no fault of Nick. The best part has been that when I come home from a very difficult day at the hospital, Kyle and I can enjoy dinner together and have the wonderful discussions about the world and science, without much care about college essays, applications, and deadlines. Nick has provided us with a priceless experience during incredibly difficult times. Thank you Nick!
