- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with parents who, at various times, were macrobiotic, vegetarian, vegan, raw and alkaline. My Dad would go into phases with sprouting and raw salads, my working mother never really liked to cook. She would usually buy prepared meals (yuck!) from the health food store. My picky younger brother thought the Sloppy Joe's he got in school were fantastic. Out of necessity, I began experimenting with flavors, watching the food channel and playing with ways to make healthy taste really good to the whole family.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Typically, there are 3 steps to my work with you. Step 1: We talk, you tell me about what you need like and want (how many meals, for how many people, what restrictions etc.). You also get a Healthy Eating Strategy. Step 2: I develop, shop for and test the recipes. Step 3: I come to your house to consult and cook with you and give you my Meal Plan Formula.
