About this pro

How does your service stand out?

We are constantly learning new techniques and products. Most of our clients are referrals so our work speaks for itself, we listen and provide our clients with unique finishes.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I truly enjoy taking something worthless and transforming it. When I am able to create a beautiful mural or a unique wall finish or transform old worn cabinetry and increasing its value with paint and/or texture is very fulfilling. I can't imagine doing anything else with this much energy, passion and diversity as I have as a decorative painter.

Maria was amazing to work with. She helped us put together a masterpiece. She is a true artist. Her faux painting made my bathroom look like something from a high end magazine. It is truly spectacular.

I just bought a new home and DiMonti's Decorative Finishes did absolutely wonderful job transforming my dining and living room. Many of my family and friends have commented on how beautiful the faux finishing looks on my walls. The she took an old vanity in one of my bathrooms and completely transformed it and now it not only looks completely brand new but it looks like a work of art. Because she did such a great job, I then had her paint a mural in my daughter's room. No surprise it turned out beautifully! I can't begin to describe how happy I am with her work ethic and work product. Maria is reliable, easy to work with and very talented!!!!!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. Maria was exceptionally professional and did an amazing job. The thought of throwing out cabinets that were in fine shape but just not our style seemed so wasteful. We are so happy we found Maria and saved a ton of money but still achieved our dream look in the kitchen!! Do it. You won't regret it!!

I love working with Maria. She is so creative and does amazing faux finish work. My favorite was a wall she created painting diamonds and studding it with pearls. It is amazing!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always enjoyed creating artistry but never knew what direction was the right area for me to focus on. After many years of working in the financial industry I consistently gravitated to faux painting and was eventually immersed myself in its every aspect of detail. I feel extremely fortunate do what I love and truly enjoy bringing to fruition the visions of my clients, no matter how abstract they are.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Although we enjoy painting murals it is not as in demand as cabinetry refinishing or faux painting.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a professional faux finisher verify that they are qualified and they can provide references to back up their work. Make sure they are trained professionals that are licensed and insured. Any reputable decorative painter should be able to provide you with an array of finished samples. The faux painter you choose should be an artist that is an expert in color and design.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish my customers knew how much work it takes to refinish a kitchen. The doors/ draws are taken to our facility to refinish so the only work they see is the on site work on the bases. Much less work is involved on refinishing the bases because of the amount of surface we need to cover. The doors/draws are 90% of the work.
