Introduction: We’re at the beginning of something great, even something potentially life changing! I’m so glad that you’ve entrusted us to help you with this process and rest assured you are in good hands. I wanted to take a second and help you by laying some basic guidelines that will help us both be the best client / coach we can be, and to let you know what I expect from you, and what you can expect from me as your coach.
You:
You’ll show up everyday. Sometimes you’ll kick in the door with gusto, and other days you might knock meekly, but you’ll show up.
You’ll ask for help from your coaching team, and you’ll offer it to the other folks in the program whenever you feel you can. That might be a “Like” or some words of encouragement. We’re in this thing together and if you’re struggling with something, you can be damn sure other folks are too. We are stronger together.
You won’t be keeping things bottled up inside. This only allows things to grow in perception and appear more powerful than they actually are. Instead, I would ask you to confront your issues with honesty and a touch of bravery, and together I’m sure we can help you kick those worries to the curb!
Me:
I will always treat you with unconditional positive regard. This means I will not judge you or your choices as this will not help you on your path to improvement. My role is to help facilitate the positive changes that you want to make, in the safest most efficient way possible.
I will never fire you or quit on you. We’re in this thing together and as long as you think you can be 1% better, I’ll be there to help you along. And when you don’t think you can be 1% better, I’ll be there to show you another way.
I will respond to any appropriate lesson submissions or reach outs within 24-36 hours (unless stated otherwise).
Often times, clients will have breakthroughs that are so profound that I feel the urge to share it with other folks to help them with their journey! It’s one of the most rewarding parts of my job, bragging about how awesome you guys are! But, rest assured that I will NEVER share any confidential content / messages between us unless I’ve specifically asked and received your permission.
Once again, I’m so glad that you decided to take this leap with me, I can’t assure you that it will always be easy, but I can assure you that with the right attitude it will be worth it.
