SHAWNTEEK IS MY HERO. He is extremely professional, personable, knowledgable, and honest. I have worked with a lot of contractors in NYC in the past 15 years, and I have to say, I have never met anyone as hard working as Shawnteek. He takes pride in everything that he does... and it shows. He did an exceptional job with our bathroom remodeling project and I cannot thank him enough!Apr 1, 2016Verified
Shawnteek turned my gross, old bathroom into a new, beautifully updated one. Since I was busy with school, I wasn't able to pick out tiles, flooring, etc. so I trusted him with the design and I'm very happy with the results. He also brought in one of his contacts to reglaze the existing old, dirty tub and now it looks like I just bought it and it saved a lot of money! Shawnteek is very reliable and gives a very fair price!Aug 7, 2016Verified
Mr. Evans took our outdated 1980's bathroom and turned it into an elegant modern oasis!!! His attention to detail and perfectionism made my bathroom look like something out of a magazine. His prices are reasonable, he is very professional, and I am so pleased with the look of my bathroom. I will definitely use his company for future home renovations.Apr 17, 2016Verified
Hardworking, fair and thorough as well as extremely neat in addition. It has been an absolute pleasure working with New Look Construction & Renovations and I will be calling for any future needs as well as referring New Look Construction to all my friends.Apr 15, 2018Verified
My extremely awkward and ugly kitchen and bathroom was in desperate need of an update so I reached out to several remodeling companies for ideas and estimates to which all were either very high in price or I felt they wanted to do a quick fix. I was referred to New Look Construction by a close friend. I reached out for an estimate in which his response time was immediate and professional; I liked, and appreciated how Mr. Evans let me view his prior work while providing/discussing different options and ideas for my kitchen and bathroom. The best by far their estimate was very reasonable considering what I needed done and what this work would entail. Mr Evans was very detailed and left no room for any big surprises. I received excellent guidance, time was taken out to make sure I was comfortable with everything, did very high quality work, and finished the project within budget without any upset within the home. Everybody that was involved in my remodel was very nice, professional, and such a pleasure to work with. I am extremely pleased with the beautiful kitchen and bathroom they built for me and am looking forward to working with them again on future projects. Mr Evans values his work and his customers matter. That goes a long way in book, money matters bit the work behind the dime spent matters as well. Im a very happy customer of New Look Construction and Renovations and will continue to do business with Mr. Evans.Feb 3, 2016
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is all determined by the job.Based on the amount of work, skill, labor, and time needed to complete the task . My pricing is very competitive. Unlike most contractors im hands on.I work with my guys involved in 100% of the work.I dont sub out my work. This allows me to garantee my customers overall savings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My first step is to come to an understanding of what it is they want done. Then i like to explain what will need to be done to complete the job, along with their options.which will help them with their decision process. This takes time, after all phases of work are explained we can then move on and actually plan and schedule the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Ive completed electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry courses through the NYS Dep of Education, certified by the NYS Dep of Labor. This was my early preparation which led to my entry to home improvement.I worked as a Journey Man in local 79 doing various construction for the next 6years (1998-2004).I later worked for several home building companies, eventually building a customer base of my own which allowed me to really grow.Ive exclusively done home improvement the last 12 years as a profession.
