FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not offer in-person lessons shorter than 90 minutes. If you would like a shorter lesson, ask me about live online video chat lessons. I charge by the hour, not by the person. If you would like to share your lesson, you can split the cost with friends. You can also create your own class by suggesting a topic and recruiting students. My lessons are reasonably priced so I do not offer discounts. There is no materials fee because you are expected to provide all your own tools and materials. I will gladly advise you on what you need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we make contact, we will discuss your goals and project interests. We will make sure you have all the tools and materials you need to get started. Then we will set up a date, time and location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a professional crafter, I have over 11 years teaching experience and over 40 years crafting experience. I am a CYC certified instructor and a published knit and crochet designer. You can see some of my published work on my designer page on Ravelry.com. My MA from FIT is in Museum Costume and Textile History and Conservation.
